Welcome to Light of the World's website
Light of the World is a new United Methodist church in the Weatherford / Aledo area. The church had its grand opening in September of 2005. I trust the information on this website will prove helpful as you prayerfully consider your involvement - both current and future - in this new, growing family of faith. Light of the World is a new United Methodist Church that’s doing church in a fresh new way. It’s a place where you will hear relevant Biblical messages while the kids learn next door in ways relevant to them. You can enjoy coffee and refreshments right in the sanctuary. The Praise Team plays both songs you may know and new ones that will make you want to sing, clap, and maybe even dance.
Whether you’re hurting, doubting, seeking, or celebrating, you will find an atmosphere of acceptance and a safe place to explore your beliefs and spirituality.
